Leaders who leave a legacy wherever they go will have as their ambassadors, people whose lives would have been positively impacted and changed for the better by the leader’s influence. This is best illustrated by the lifetime relationship that can be established between a Grade 1 or Sub A learner and her teacher, the majority of which are women. As the child’s role model, a teacher’s behavior and attitude can remain indelibly printed in the child’s mind. This influence, if positive, can help to create a strong foundation for the Grade 1 learner to grow up to be a responsible adult.
